Vegan Curious is a woman owned (by me! hi!) pop up bakery offering plant based/vegan & gluten free cookies and treats that taste traditional. By using high quality alternative ingredients to eggs and dairy to lessen the impact of factory farming on our environment, I have recreated the traditional tastes you know and love and I promise you won’t know the difference!
I was vegan for 5 years and am currently a “flexible vegan” which works for my health, budget, and lifestyle! I named my business Vegan Curious because I wanted to bring more people in to the fray of plant based food and baked goods without judgement. So many people approach my booth and say “This might be a stupid question, but…”
There are NO stupid questions! I’m happy to answer anything to the best of my ability and knowledge. There’s no judgement here, ever.
Something I’m really passionate about is making sure people feel included and respected & that goes for my philosophy on eating. Food is cultural, political, emotional, and PERSONAL. It’s not my job to tell you how to eat or what to eat. It’s my job to spark your curiosity and show you that vegan tastes just as good as traditional.
Making food and feeding people is a way to connect to my childhood, my creativity, and my yearning for community. I also work as a nanny so if you see me out and about with tiny people, they’re just loaners :) & when I’m not shaping the minds of our youth or slinging cookies in the kitchen you can find me snuggled on the couch with my partner Silas and our one eyed cat Ramona.
